Rebecca Romijn and husband Jerry O’Connell are the latest couple to welcome a set of twin babies.

Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip were born Dec. 28, according to DJ Howard Stern, the couple’s pal, and Lewis Kay, Romijn’s spokesperson, who broke the news to People. Kay says, "Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well."

Romijn, 36, previously married to actor John Stamos, wed O’Connell in 2007. Rose and Tulip are their first children together.

The couple has been very vocal in expressing their excitement over the babies. Us magazine reported that Romijn described having the twins as a “dream.” She also said she was confident husband O’Connell, 34, would make a “fantastic dad.” 

“He’s a pragmatic, smart, savvy, enthusiastic person. He really lives his life with tremendous integrity, and he’s a healthy person in every single way.”

Meanwhile, O’Connell, who appears in Fox sitcom Do Not Disturb, is way ahead and has already given thought to who their daughters should NOT be dating.

"Just the fact that they're girls, you know? I don't want them to date. They're only allowed to date men who run countries. They're only allowed to date men who are heir to the throne or are currently running a nation."

DRR and CTT are not only the newest set of twins. They are also the latest to get ‘celebrity-sounding’ names.

Actress Patricia Arquette has decided to end her two-year-old marriage to Thomas Jane, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The two, who got engaged in 2002, married in June 2006 at the Palazzon Contarini in Venice, Italy. They have a 5-year-old daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope Jane, whom the actress is keen on getting exclusive legal custody of, with visitation rights to be provided to the 39-year-old actor.

Forty-year-old Arquette, who stars in the NBC supernatural drama series Medium, previously married National Treasure actor Nicolas Cage in 1995. They separated after only nine months of wedded bliss. It was only in February 2000 when Cage filed for a divorce, but it was later withdrawn. Arquette, who has a son named Enzo with musician Paul Ross, filed for divorce again in November of the same year.

Jane, who appeared in the 2004 movie version of The Punisher and in the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist in 2007, was formerly married to Rutger Hauer’s daughter Aysha, and was engaged to Olivia d’Abo from 1998 to 2001.

TMZ.com reports that Arquette hired Laura Wasser, the finest divorce attorney, to stand for her. The star has said she does not plan to request for spousal support and is also asking the Los Angeles County Superior Court to deny Jane the same.

Two point five years is too early to get a divorce. But it's quite a feat when compared to her separation from Cage after only nine months of marriage. These Hollywood celebs… Or it could be that Arquette finally came to the conclusion that being married to The Punisher can get mighty stressful.

While everyone else is busy donating toys and blankets, David Spade opted to get lethal.

After seeing a TV news report about police officers in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ being forced to buy their own rifles, the Rules of Engagement star called the Phoenix Police Department and informed them he was giving $100,000 to their rifle program.

The donation will provide the funds badly needed to secure weapons to help them “defend the city from the growing influence of Mexican drug cartels,” according to Fox News.

In a statement, 44-year old Spade, who grew up in the Phoenix area and graduated from Arizona State University, says, “These guys need to be able to do their jobs and I am just happy I could help.”

Phoenix Police Sgt. Alan Hill expresses gratitude to the actor for the unique gift and states the agency will purchase 50 AR-15 rifles, which will be given to patrol officers.

Serial dating notwithstanding, Spade has a string of humanitarian acts and has stepped up to distinctive causes.

He has once donated to the city’s humane society and to his old high school. He has also donated $25,000 last year to the family of a police officer who died in the line of duty.

The wonderful thing about it is that he never seems to drum up noise to gain publicity. Kudos to the “naughty” but nice little fella.

Tabloids are predicting a dissolution of marriage for couple J-Lo and Marc Anthony, saying the husband is a “controlling womanizer” and the wife is “high maintenance” and has an “uncontrollable jealous streak.”

According to New York Post’s Page Six:

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have recently been photographed without their wedding rings, but the marital discord apparently started much earlier.

Despite the fact that the couple renewed its vows in October, a source tells Page Six that Lopez used to send her assistant on tour with Anthony while she stayed at home with their twins.

“She wanted reports back so he didn’t cheat on her,” says our source.

Lopez and Anthony are also reportedly selling the $8.5 million Bel Air estate where they were wed in June 2004. Lopez’s rep did not respond to a request for comment.

The diva’s behavior isn’t really news: There were reports that she has gone to extremes when she thought her partner was cheating. While she was still seeing P. Diddy, there were claims that while he was on tour, she would show up without prior announcement at his hotel door, pounding on the door and insisting that she be let in.

Her suspicions were confirmed later after they split, when Diddy admitted he cheated on her practically throughout the entire time they were romantically linked.

Historically, Lopez has had a not so fabulous track record with any of her husbands and gave the impression of taking off whenever the union hit a snag.

But she has good reason to be troubled. Marc Anthony reportedly has six children with three different mothers. Maybe he’d like more but with a different host?

But whatever, he has got to tame his swimmers.

Director Bryan Singer thinks Adolf Hitler’s ghost is hanging around the set of Tom Cruise’s new movie Valkyrie.

Singer was filming scenes with Cruise in Cougar Buttes in California when a tank ‘malfunctioned’ and drove itself towards costly sound and camera equipment.

The filmmaker says, "We had one tank that malfunctioned and it started rolling on its own. It started rolling towards the camera equipment and nothing was stopping it because it’s a tank and it’s meant to roll over camera crews and other things in its way.

“A very brave guy crawled in it and worked the brake system and got it to stop. Maybe the ghost of Hitler was in there!”

Valkyrie is based on the true story of Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, who joined other German officers in a plot to eliminate Hitler.

Thank goodness for the brave guy who clambered into the machine and wrestled with the supposed ghost and saved the crowd from getting run over.

The King of Mean topples God and the Queen in a kiddie survey.

According to a British survey, X Factor boss and American Idol judge Simon Cowell is more famous than God and Queen Elizabeth II.

The fourth annual survey asked 1,000 children under age 10 to name the celebrity they think is the biggest. From fifth place last year, Cowell soared to the top spot, knocking the Queen from the top position. God came in at second place.

Children. Can’t really blame them for getting too much Cowell exposure this year. He’s been occupying television screens with his straightforward, no-holds-barred language that shoots down fame-filled dreams of amateurish wannabes.

After spending too much time holding hands with recently-divorced BFF Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow may soon be facing divorce issues herself.

Rumors about her disintegrating marriage to Coldplay frontman are making the rounds on the virtual rumor mill. But Paltrow denies the claims, saying they are all lies.

There are stories that she and husband Chris Martin have shut themselves away in their British home trying to salvage their union and working marriage things out.

It appears that the couple’s major sticking point is wifey’s association with Madge and her desire to be close to her friend in her hour of need. Probably not realizing that she may be venturing into that particular hour herself.

A friend said, "Gwyneth has the Madonna bug... bad. It's eerie. Gwyneth acts normally until Madonna comes around, and then Gwyn is all about Madonna, all the time. Madge has even introduced Gwyneth to all her friends.

“Now instead of going to see Chris perform, she'd rather hang out with people like Alex Rodriguez and Ingrid Casares."

Naturally, both Madonna’s and Paltrow’s reps denied the allegations.

Madonna bug. That’s what Guy Ritchie just got cured from. If that’s what’s indeed “bugging” Gwyneth, then Ritchie won’t have to wait too long. He and Martin might just end up drinking pals at his pub – drinking while trying to figure out Kabbalah.

Motown legend Stevie Wonder is said to be in talks to appear on the TV show Dancing With The Stars. That’s appear – as in dance.

Asked about the rumors, the musician and soul superstar, who has been blind since birth, said that “it's not impossible, but right now it's just a thought.”

As to his dancing abilities, 58-year-old Wonder, who sold more than 100 million albums and won 21 Grammy Awards, quipped, “Come on! You've got to think. If I have 7 children, I've got to be able to dance right?”

"I think it would be fun -- working on my little stomach thing here and losing some more weight.

"I'd do dancing. I'd win the contest!"

Reports claim that he is set to join the competition in the next series of DWTS.

As the ex-supermodel was leaving her hotel in Dublin, a man approached her and tried to shove show her the placard he was holding. The poster was that of an injured fox inside a cage with an exposed, bloody bone.

It’s probably the holiday spirit that did it, but the ex-supermodel actually chose to NOT skin the man right there and then. Nobody embarrasses Naomi and survives.

But apparently, whatever she had earlier, it was making her look the worse for wear feel too good to even care. Got her head in the clouds.

For the most part, she seemed undisturbed at the appalling poster. The protester might have escaped the gates of hell, but it’s impossible to know if the message he was sending came across loud and clear. Campbell looks “out of it.”

But for all we know, she was counting one to ten and resisting the urge to get physical – and get detained once again.

T.R. Knight has asked the show’s producers to release him from his contract.

Details for his exit have yet to be sorted out, but there are reports that Knight, who has played Intern George O’Malley since the series’ debut, may get the nod from the producers. A source privy to the situation says there is a big chance the actor’s request will be granted.

Rumors have it that Knight has been a no-show at table-reads for forthcoming episodes or that he walked out on the set and tidied up his dressing. But the actor’s spokesperson denies the stories saying, “He has been there every day. He was at a table read yesterday. He hasn’t said goodbye to anyone.”

It is believed that the reason for his planned departure was prompted by the delayed rectification by the show’s creator Shonda Rhimes regarding the alleged homophobic slur from former co-star Isaiah Washington. The insult reportedly led to Knight admitting he is gay.

However, a source shoots down the claims. “The Isaiah stuff has no relevance at all,” states the insider. “T.R. doesn’t even know why people would mention it. It was so long ago.”

As to why he wanted to leave, the source retorted, “Have you seen the show lately?”

I haven’t, but a little virtual digging revealed that Dr. O’Malley hasn’t been getting enough airtime since Anatomy has been amazingly focused on the lovelife of Izzie and her long-gone lover, Denny.

The insider adds, “It’s time to move on. It just feels like this is the right time to go.” Why do I suddenly have this strange feeling that this particular source is Knight himself?

Knight's adios comes on the heels of Brooke Smith's abrupt departure from the hit medical drama last month. Smith, who played Dr. Erica Hahn, said Rhimes “just suddenly told me that they couldn’t write for my character anymore.” She added that it was "the last thing I expected.”

Rhimes said Smith was “not fired for playing a lesbian.” She added, “Unfortunately, we did not find that the magic and chemistry with Brooke’s character would sustain in the long run.”

Despite having become internationally famous as the innocent, brainy, and wholesome wizard in the wildly popular Harry Potter series, Emma Watson says she just might strip off… for the sake of art.

The British beauty, who turned 18 this year, declares going nude for cinematic purposes is perfectly okay.

"Yes. For Bernardo Bertolucci. It ... depends," Watson says, referring to the Italian director.

Before all nerds out there start going ga-ga over this naked confession, she has this to add, “I'm not getting my kit off any time soon, but it is part of my job.”

Watson is aware that her current association with Potter requires her to stay “clean” and keep her reputation in check. It goes without saying that a major motion picture franchise is keeping tabs of her, behind her, and in front of her.

This admission comes after co-star Daniel Radcliffe's successful exposure in Broadway and in London's West End. A penchant for birthday suits? Radcliffe did it professionally via Equus, which became a hit on both sides of the pond.

Though Watson hasn’t yet bared her anatomy for the cameras, she gave a hint a few months back when she flashed her C to the paparazzi. Clearly, that was an indication that uncovering herself for the lenses won’t be a problem. Or it could be that she was just plain inebriated then.

After a $70 million opening weekend, Catherine Hardwicke gets dismissed from the job.

Despite the box office success of vampire flick Twilight, movie producer Summit Entertainment has given director Hardwicke the boot because she was reportedly being “difficult” and "irrational.”

According to a press release from Summit, Hardwicke decided not to direct the sequel due to “timing issues.” She reportedly wanted more time to prepare and work on the script. The statement added that the production outfit wants the filming of the second movie to begin immediately. Producers have said that they want New Moon to be ready for release by the end of next year or in early 2010, at the latest.

However, Nikki Finke of deadlinehollywooddaily.com writes that the real reason for the termination of Hardwicke’s services was because she was “difficult” and “irrational” during the filming of the big-screen version of Stephenie Mayer's blockbuster novel.

An insider tells Finke, "That doesn't mean anything when you're talking about a filmmaker because they all are, but still..."

But an outside source of the writer adds, “Summit didn't like her. They're saying the DP [director of photography] Elliot Davis is the one responsible for the film's sumptuous visual look, that the editor Nancy Richardson had to save the film in post-production, and Summit thought Hardwicke's [CAA] agent Beth Swofford was alternately ineffectual and hysterical. It certainly demonstrates, while CAA agents boast of their vast influence, how little clout and muscle they actually have, or are willing to use, to protect their artists.”

Another unidentified source claims that Hardwicke “has had it coming for years” and that producers who have worked with her said she is “quite possible the worst human being” they have had the misfortune to deal with.

The directorial position is reportedly still open.

What a way to go down after such a grand, grand opening. It just goes to show that inside and out, Twilight just reeks of pure drama.

Pop star Madonna is reportedly accumulating $1 million in hotel bills in the Argentina leg of her Sticky & Sweet world tour so she and her crew could live in luxury.

While performing a series of shows in Buenos Aires, the singer and her staff is staying in the exclusive Four Seasons resort and in the process will be splashing out $9,000 a night in the hotel’s luxury suite – a private mansion.

Her back up singers, dancers, choreographers, managers, makeup artists and security took up separate 110 rooms that cost a minimum of $600 a night each.

Irish newspaper Sunday World quoted a source as saying, “When they check out on Tuesday, with room service and extras the bill will top $1 million. This is the finest hotel in South America, offering every luxury you could possibly imagine, and it doesn't come cheap. We've had some pop stars and presidents before, but nothing quite like this."

The singer and her entourage arrived in the Argentinian city Sunday (30Nov08) by private jet. She is scheduled to perform four concerts in Buenos Aires. However, the opening night had to be cancelled after equipment for the gig reportedly did not arrive on time.

One million dollars. That’s chicken feed compared to the $64 million she’s giving ex-hubby Guy Ritchie. Reports claim that the British director is set to receive a lump sum as payoff IF he allows her to remain in their home in Marylebone, London and IF he “signs away rights to his half of” Madonna’s $600 million(!) fortune.

The SoHo apartment where The Dark Knight star Heath Ledger died due to drug overdose has been taken off the real estate market.

In late July, Ledger’s loft was placed on the rental market for an astounding $26,000 a month. But unfortunately, agents never had luck getting people interested enough to occupy it.

New York gossip column Page Six reported that a source at luxury real estate company Corcoran Group said the dwelling is “temporarily off the market.”

Back in January, the actor, who was 28, died in the three-bedroom residence because of an accidental prescription drug overdose.

Seriously, would you want to live in the same bedroom where the previous occupant gave up the ghost? Not only that. The unit's going to cost you nearly $1K a day. You'd have to be a joker to take it.

Newly-eloped Spencer Pratt has ditched plans to spend quality holidays with new mother-in-law after learning she made deprecating remarks about him.

The ever expressive The Hills actor, who in November ran off to Mexico with long-time partner Heidi Montag to get married in utter secrecy, has been offended by comments made by Montag’s mom, Darlene Egelhoff, about their now public eleventh-hour wedding.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Egelhoff accused Pratt of “drugging” her daughter. MIL also said that marrying him was “the biggest mistake Heidi ever made” and that their blessed union “won’t last six months.”

Which naturally flipped newly-minted Mr. Montag’s lid.

A furious Pratt made a call to DJ Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Thursday to return fire to Mom Montag.

"I can't wait to prove her wrong and be married for the rest of our lives. ... I'm sure she's just hurt and reacting crazy because she wasn't there.

"I think she thinks she's being funny and, like, playing into her character (on 'The Hills') -- that she hates me."

He admitted that while they were shooting an episode for the show the day before his call to Seacrest, he brazened it out with Egelhoff saying, "(It) was pretty much the most insane day of my entire life."

But after reading the Us Weekly write-up, Pratt decided he doesn’t want to spend a single Christmas minute with new mom-in-law. This might mean that meddlesome Mom won’t be seeing daughter until after the split.

Or, it could be that we’ve got another one of those dangerously annoying cases of publicity stunts by the duo famous for their addiction to media attention.

Kristen Stewart, the female star of Twilight, set tongues wagging after images of her smoking what is purportedly said to be “weed” hit the online world.

Gossip site TMZ, who reported it first, placed one of her pics in a post entitled ’Twilight’ Star's Pipe Dream. In spite of this, the site didn’t exactly identify what stuff it was.

TMZ placed six photos it says it obtained and claimed that they were taken a few days ago. The pictures show Stewart sitting on the front steps of her LA house holding what appears to be a pipe in her hand. She is joined by a dog and an unidentified male friend.

The actress, who’s best known for her role in Panic Room, became a media favorite ever since she became the female lead opposite Robert Pattinson in the vampire movie Twilight, which has now (for all it's worth) become a household name.

With all the pap attention she’s getting now, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wants to smoke bowls of whatever it is she’s stuffing into her system.

In Touch Weekly has revealed that Angelina Jolie is pregnant again. Hard at work, eh?

The publication, which first broke out the news of the actress' pregnancy with twins, is unwavering in its assertions that the she and partner Brad Pitt are expecting another baby in the new year.

In its exclusive report, the magazine says, “An excited Angie can't stop talking about the new baby. So why doesn't Brad seem thrilled?”

Both Pitt and Jolie have denied the claims, but In Touch Weekly has been consistent in its reports the past few weeks.

The Changeling actress, whose twins Vivienne and Knox just turned four months old, has repeatedly expressed her desire to expand the brood. She and Pitt are already parents to three adopted kids and three biological children.

During the Kung Fu Panda DVD launch last week, she said, “Anything could happen. We're open to anything, we love kids and we're having a great time. It's chaos in our house, but it's so much fun. We'll definitely have more.”

As to Pitt’s parenting abilities, Jolie stated, “He's the best daddy and we have fun, so whenever it gets hard we can just look at each other and find a way to laugh about and just appreciate that they're only little once, and we should enjoy every minute.”

Whoa, is that hectic or what? Slow down, AJ. You’re spreading yourself thin. Besides, it’s not like you need to hurry up with your birthing duties.

Madonna announced last month that she and Ritchie were going their separate ways… and now they have been granted divorce.

Following a hearing in London Friday, the judge at the clinical Principal Registry of the Family Division of the High Court in High Holburn, London has granted divorce to the British director and the Sticky and Sweet performer.

Reports state that the couple, who married in Scotland in 2000, will share joint custody over their children, Rocco, 8, and David, 3, who will split their time between Mummy Madonna in the US and Dad Guy in the UK.

Lourdes, 12, will be staying with Madonna since she is the singer’s daughter with Carlos Leon, the 50-year-old singer’s previous partner.

The couple’s 8-year-old union will be legally dissolved in six weeks time when they will be granted a decree absolute.

Darn, that was fast. Somebody with "emotional disabilities" wanted out reeeaaal bad.

Paris Hilton has confirmed that after dating for nine months, she and rocker beau Benji Madden had indeed parted ways.

Rumors of their breakup started after Hilton was photographed with ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos. The chatter first appeared in Star magazine, and now Hilton has issued a statement via spokesperson Alanna McCarthy.

It simply stated that the former couple, who are set to host Sydney, Australia’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, will “remain very good friends.”

I seriously doubt that… but whatever.

For a while there, everyone thought Paris had settled in nicely after appearing normal and behaved for almost a year.

But now… it’s back to good old partying ways for the socialite.
