Womanizer, the first single off the pop tart’s Circus album set to be released this December has made history. After debuting at No. 96 on the charts last week based on airplay alone, Britney’s comeback single rewrote history books by making a historic leap from the 95th to the top of the charts. Britney’s massive jump shattered the previous record held by Maroon 5’s Make Me Wonder which came from the 63rd spot to No. 1.
This is not the only one of Womanizer’s mean feats. The single also set a record high digital copy sales at 286,000 sold, toppling over Mariah Carey’s Touch My Body.
