Food Network star Rachel Ray denies rumors of a throat cancer scare that is the reason for the surgery that she is scheduled to have.

According to the talkative cooking show host’s mouthpiece, Ray is indeed having surgery but it is nothing major. "Rachael is the picture of health. She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord,"  Charlie Dougiello told People Magazine, It's a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely effect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings."

The 40-year-old daytime show queen is currently vacationing in Italy to celebrate her third anniversary with her husband John Cusimano.
