Annie Lennox has always been selfless in devoting her time to charitable causes. But it may be time for her to slow down and focus on saving herself.

The songbird is now in her London home recovering from a spinal surgery to release an impinged nerve, E! News reports.

"The surgery went as planned, and Annie is now recuperating at home," reads a statement from the 53-year-old’s website, "Annie would like to send her thanks and appreciation to all that have sent their well wishes in the past few days."
