Warning: Brad Pitt May Destroy Your Computer

Speaking of Brad Pitt, don’t go using the words “Brad Pitt” on a search engine if you don’t want your PC to die out on you.

Internet security firm McAfee is warning people about the dangers of performing a search using the words “Brad Pitt.”

It turns out that bug creators have used his name for malevolent purposes. Unsuspecting people who use these search terms are at great risk of infecting their systems.

If you search for Brad Pitt wallpapers or pictures on the Internet, you have an 18% chance that your computer comes down with the Brad Pitt syndrome: adware, spyware, viruses, pictures of the actor, and other dangerous stuff.

What’s odd, though, is that McAfee is selling a prohibitively costly spyware blocker.

According to a spokesperson, "Web surfers looking for celebrity gossip, screen savers and ring tones are often directed to fake internet sites that look legitimate but pose a risk to the security of their computers."

Pitt isn’t the only one though. There’s “Justin Timberlake,” “Beyonce” and… "Heidi Montag."

Heidi Montag??? Well, if you searched for anything about that attention-craving HM, then you deserve a "computer infection."
