RnB singer Alicia Keys is up to her eyeballs in work and wants to quit toiling by the ripe old age of 30 so she can go globe-trotting.
The 27-year-old, hailed as one of the most beautiful women in pop, says that she is often frustrated with the demands of fame.
In 2006, her exasperation got to the point that she decided to take off for Egypt to recover from the hardships she had to undergo for her music career.
She hopes to be able to relinquish her career in a few years so she can start enjoying her retirement benefits.
She insists, “I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want. I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience different cultures.”
If there’s one person who won’t be missing this classical sort, it’s 50 Cent.
The rapper previously bombarded Keys with phone calls begging her to go out with him. But recently he said, "I don't like Alicia Keys no more though.”
The dislike stemmed from an interview that the RnB beauty did for Blender magazine where she said, “Gangsta rap was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other,” which many didn’t really understand.
According to Keys anyway, who spent a whole week trying to explain her comments, reiterating that No One understood what she said.
Unfortunately for her, her comments burned 50 Cent, got his goat and made him barf, “If she don't like that, (then) I don't like that classical music shit she be doing. At some point she's playing some shit that don't relate to me. We listen to it and try to figure out why people actually enjoy it. I am trying to enjoy it. That statement changes my perception of Alicia Keys totally.”
Well, 50, no one really expected you to understand classical stuff. The same way that no one expected Keys to know exactly what gangsta rap is?
