Not THE Batman role.

Reports claim that producers are persuading the actor-turned-director to consider a Batman role.

The Dirty Harry has had time to play ‘superhero’ roles but not this time. Big bosses over at the new Batman movie franchise specifically want him to be the Mayor of Gotham City in the next release.

According to SuperheroHype.com, Eastwood is in talks to play a version of himself in the new Batman follow-up to The Dark Knight, which hits theaters in July.

Eastwood used to be Mayor of California coastal town Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Why anybody would need an odd guy in a rubber outfit to cleanse his town of evil elements when Dirty Harry’s there is beyond me, but it’s their film.
