Sharon Stone’s Karma
Access Hollywood
The actress’ karma comments seem to keep coming back to haunt her.

First, Christian Dior dropped her images from its Chinese beauty products. Second, the Shanghai International Film Festival has opted to permanently ban her and her films.

Just recently, she lost a slot in the forthcoming flick Mermaid Island when producers agreed to NOT sign her up.

The movie, a $50 million dollar US-China production, would have brought Stone and Catwoman director Pitof together.

According to Moviehole, Mermaid Island is “set in the Ocean with four races, humans, mermaids, some beastie and mythical creatures, not always living together peacefully. The central plot revolves around a young man and a mermaid. Liang Yanfei is the Mermaid. Monica Bellucci plays the Mermaid Queen.”

After her controversial comments, she was branded by the Chinese citizens as “ignorant” of the Tibet issue, was charged of being cold-blooded towards China’s grief, and having disrespect for life.

The long arms of karma.
