For The Chronicles of Riddick star, The Pacifier now holds a more profound meaning, as he and his 24-year-old model girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez, recently welcomed their first baby into the world.

A representative for Vin Diesel didn’t provide other information about the baby, save for the fact that it’s a she.

Diesel, 40, is currently filming and producing the fourth installment of the hit series Fast and Furious, where he will reprise his role as carjacker Dominic Toretto.

The Pitch Black actor, whose real name is Mark Sinclair Vincent, says, "I think me doing the cameo in 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift' confirmed a lot of things for me. It confirmed that if you create a role that the world kind of identifies with, or the world adopts, sometimes you have that responsibility to revisit that role.

"I'm slower than the average actor that just jumps into the sequel, but I think the time has come to finally revisit Dom Toretto."

Diesel will be seen in the big screen this summer via the sci-fi thriller Babylon AD to be released worldwide. He will play Toorop, who gets the job of transporting a nun (Michelle Yeoh) from Russia to China. Seems simple enough. However, the nun holds a genetically altered “messiah baby” being pursued by a cult.

Most people can pretty much deduce what will happen during the entire film: explosions, lasers, needless nudity and babysitting.
