Actress Sharon Stone has been getting really popular these days, not for her acting skills, but for the seemingly mundane things like flashing her knickers to not-so-fascinated paps, and most recently for using the privilege of free speech.
It can be recalled that a Chinese province called Sichuan was rocked by a massive earthquake, where 88,000 people were either killed or missing. To put it shortly, the catastrophe reduced the place to almost nothing.
Where's the Stone connection?
It just so happens that Stone said that the Chinese villagers brought the disaster on themselves, which was just mighty stone-hearted of her.
Her full speech:
“I’m, you know, not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans, because I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so, I have been very concerned about how to think and what to do about that because I don’t like … that. And then I’ve been, this, you know, concerned about, oh, how should we deal with the Olympics, because they’re not being nice to the Dali Lama who is a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma? When you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?”
Stone was quite generous with her speech.
Wonder if she has been generous enough to donate some of her dollars to the poor Chinese people.
If she hadn't yet, she's sure to get karma. Remember, Sharon, when you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?
