Did they really take the vow?
According to a friend, who just can't help but spill the beans, they did. The representatives of the power couple are still not confirming the story, which obviously means they took the vow of silence.
The friend tells People that the hush-hush event took place Friday. Well, that is, if you call the throng of onlookers, shutterbugs and TV crews milling around the garage entrance to hiphop mogul Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment hush-hush.
According to the source, Jay wanted the affair to be kept private, meaning close pals and family. Spotted arriving by car were actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Destiny's Child pals Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
Early Friday morning, workers were seen putting up a tent atop the apartment. Later, an SUV thought to deliver AV equipment arrived, followed by party rentals, flower and candelabra deliveries.
Meanwhile, Mary J. Blige, who was on tour in North Carolina Saturday, seemed to confirm the much-awaited but secretly-held(?) union as she shouted to the audience, “Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B!”
Unless, of course, Blige was giving out the congratulations for something else like finding buried treasure in Jay-Z's garage, for instance, or for discovering a 5-second way to getting the perfect body. Who knows?
