After her rendition of Dolly Parton's "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind," Idol finalist Ramiele Malubay got herself in the bottom three and was eventually voted off by America.
Some people thought she didn't have the voice to keep her going to the top. The judges thought otherwise. They said Ramiele had a wonderful voice, but she was holding back. For several times, Simon kept telling her that she had a problem when it came to her song choice. He thought that the petite finalist could do better with the proper track.
But week after week, the same thing was happening. Ramiele's song choice didn't bring out the vocal power that made the judges give her the Idol ticket to Hollywood after her audition. Well, the two judges anyway. The other one said she sounded like she was a hotel singer, but said she was cute.
Others thought it was probably her cuteness that brought her this far. And now, the cuteness factor has worn off.
